Will Mercer is a Toronto-based actor, singer and composer. He completed a BAH in Drama and English at Queen's University.
Most recently, Will wrote, composed, designed and performed his solo show, Disguise, which explores the 'masked' experience of the performer in contrast to that of a receiving viewer.
Will's stage work spans classical, contemporary, and musical theatre. He has portrayed Azdak in Caucasian Chalk Circle, Actor U in Caryl Churchill's Love and Information, Clifford Anderson in Deathtrap, Richard Enfield in Jekyll and Hyde, Samuel in Pirates of Penzance, Beyoncé in The Last Night at the Cabaret Solitaire, Wadsworth in Clue, Ram Sweeney in Heathers and the iconic role of Tom Collins in RENT.
Will was awarded the Eastern Ontario Drama League Award for Acting in 2025 and the prestigious Queens Commitment Scholarship from 2022–2026.
Will has trained with Zoe Sweet, Patricia O'Callaghan and Michael Wheeler at Queen's Dan School, and with Patrick Maubert at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts. Vocally, Will's a bari-tenor and enjoys improvised movement and dance as well as sound design.
